Have you heard of this guy?
No Impact Man, Colin Beavan, is on a personal mission to educate the environmentally unconscious individual–that's most of us– on how to reduce their carbon footprint all the while making their lives healthier, richer and happier.
Sounds like a win-win situation!
Mr. Beavan has a pretty cool story and way of life… he doesn't even own a TV (fyi: neither do I)! He has a book and pretty soon he will have a movie out both of which chronicle his family’s year-long experiment living a zero-waste lifestyle in New York City.
Awesome!
He has inspired me to join in the fun, and you can too…!
No Impact Man has joined forces with Huffington Post and they are hosting No Impact Week which launches this week, on October 18th.
The mission of No Impact Week:
a one-week carbon cleanse. It is a chance for you to see what a difference no-impact living can have on your quality of life. It’s not about giving up creature comforts but an opportunity for you to test whether the modern “conveniences” you take for granted are actually making you happier or just eating away at your time and money.
Check out Colin's blog, support the cause and join the masses next week in No Impact Week. We could all discover ways to reduce the stress we are burdening mother nature with.
Be well!
