Here is the Full Transcription of the Video

Hi. Hello Facebook, hello Instagram, how is everyone? It is Thursday again, how did that happen? It's crazy. Good to see you guys. So good to be in your community, in your space, in your life. I am just happy to be here today, and isn't that awesome? We had a bit of a snowstorm here yesterday, on the east coast, an then it's like warming up to 50, so everything is going to melt, which is great. And to all of you who are new on Facebook, and new on Instagram, hi. I am so happy to be a part of your life, and your community, and I'm honored that you … Sorry, I'm trying to fix my little stand for my Instagram. I am honored that you have invited me into your life and to your health journey. Just so you know, my mission is to help you live your best damnedest life ever, because you freaking deserve it. And when I talk about your best life, I am talking about your healthiest life, which health is emotional, it's mental, it's physical, its nutritional, it's all of the above.

Yeah, some of you guys know me as the fertility expert, which I am, sure, but I always say fertility is an extension of health. I have three books, not just one book on fertility. I have a book on general health, called Chill Out and Get Healthy, which I wrote 10 years ago, and guess what? I'm proud to say all of the information is still relevant. The things I recommend in that book still mean something, they still make a difference. Then my second book … So let's see them. Here's my first baby, oh look at her. Chill Out and Get Healthy. I was a baby when I wrote it, I think I was like 35. That's nine years ago. This is my second baby; Yes, You Can Get Pregnant. This baby is a best seller on Amazon in women's health and fertility, so hell yeah to that. And then this is my most recent baby; Body Belief, How to Heal Autoimmune Diseases, Radically Shift Your Health, and Learn to Love Your Body More. This book is doing very well, as well, but we would love to reach more people, so tell everybody about these awesome books. Leave reviews on Amazon.

If you guys want the support me, that's the best way to support me. Leave some reviews on Amazon. I can't entice you with anything to do that, because it's illegal, but if you've read those books, and you like them, and if they meant something to you, if they've changed your life, if they helped you get pregnant, or helped you heal something, you go and you leave a review, because that's how more people learn about the books. That's how more people get inspired to purchase and let the books transform their life the way it transformed yours.

Anyway, there's that. I come to you live every week here, which is my favorite thing to do. I give you guys tons, and tons, and tons of free, really good, I think, content to help you truly reawaken your health, renew hope in your body, and live with purpose, and presence, and clarity, and reach the worthiness that you are worthy of. The kind of life that you freaking deserve, because that's what we're all here for. We're here, sure, to learn, we're here, sure, to shift and change, and grow from our challenges, but life should always be good and you should also wake up and feel good regularly. So today I promised I would talk to you guys about what I do to help me feel my best. Just recently we had a program called, Reboot Your Health and Rewire Your Brain. It's a 30 day mind body transformation. I ran it for, I think, the second time since this baby came out, Body Belief, and it's based on the recommendations that I have throughout Body Belief. It's, like I said, a 30 day mind body transformation where we do a whole reset on our diet, and also a whole reset on this baby, our thoughts, because as you guys have probably heard me say, and if you read any of my books, you know I've been saying this a long time, what you think impacts your behavior, and your behavior impacts your health.

The 30 Day Mind Body Reset Program was awesome. It's probably the third or fourth time I've done it, because I did it once while I was writing Body Belief and checking out how it feels, and what's the diet like, and what's the right approach. Then I did it once when we launched Body Belief, and we did our first R & R program last May, and I then I just did it again with about 100 students, which was super fun, and I feel awesome. I want to talk to you guys about what I did, the changes I saw, and what I've learned about my body.

Again, we did the 30 day reset program. We're going to launch it again this May. If you guys want to get on the waitlist for that, you can head over to … I don't know where, I think it's AimeeRaupp.com/reboot, and on there there's a button for getting on the waitlist. But I know Beth is also going to post a link where you can go and get on the waitlist for the next reboot program, which is awesome.

We did, again, it's like nine days in a prep phase where we slowly eliminate all of the potentially inflammatory foods, or foods that can aggravate our system. Just so you guys know, I generally live a gluten free, dairy free, soy free, sugar free life. Generally. Gluten and dairy just don't totally agree with me. I learned that a decade ago when my eczema was just at its worst, I was in grad school. I was definitely like drinking too much, and staying out late, and not managing my stress, as well, but when I figured out the dietary component, it made a dramatic change in life and in my body and that was … gosh, if I'm 44, that was actually like … I'm going to really age myself, 15 years ago, 16 years ago when I really started to commit to these dietary changes. Mainly because I had eczema, not just all over my body, all over my eyes, like this, to the point where my eyes, sometimes, would be swollen shut. I was mortified to leave the house. I had also bad acne. I had horrible periods, mood swings. You know, I was kind of a crank bot, and I wasn't super happy, I wasn't nourishing myself in the right ways.

So what really got me though to start making those dietary changes was vanity, because I did not like the eczema on my face. I didn't want to leave the house. I, again, was just embarrassed, and so when I learned about, back then I did, I followed a book called the Fat Flush Plan by Ann Louise Gittleman, and it's basically an elimination diet and that's what I did. I eliminated all the potentially harmful foods and I figured out my triggers. What I learned was gluten, and dairy, and sugar, no good for me.

So that meant no wine, that meant no champagne. I wound up switching to just drinking like vodka sodas, or tequila on the rocks, or something like that. At this stage of my life I actually don't even drink anymore. My husband and I have been taking a break since about September, and I feel awesome. That's outside of the reboot program, I just gave up coffee … I mean coffee, I don't, I have not given up coffee, I gave up coffee for the reboot program. I just gave up alcohol in September like 100%, and prior to that maybe I was having like three drinks a week, max five drinks a week, always vodka with seltzer water, or tequila on the rocks. Wine and me, no go. Anything sweet like that I get heartburn, I get reflux, my eczema flares up. I just generally feel like shit, so I don't touch that stuff. I learned that a long time ago and I've really stuck to it.

Once in a while, if I was craving a glass of red wine, I'd let myself have it, ut generally that's how I live my life. It's no gluten, no dairy, no sugar, very little alcohol. I have one cup of organic caffeine a day, whether that's my matcha latte, or that's coffee with coconut milk and collagen peptides. When we started the reboot program, the things that we slowly eliminate all the way down to we cut out grains, we cut out beans, we cut out nuts, we cut out nightshade vegetables. It's a pure elimination diet, and it's all outlined in Body Belief. My program includes like shopping lists, and menus, and meal plans, so it's so super simple for everybody. For me, I had to cut back on my consumption of grains, my consumption of … I don't eat beans, they don't agree with me. But nightshades, nuts, obviously I switched off of coffee onto my matcha latte.

What else was a big game changer for me? My liver support juice, doing that every day, big game changer. That is in Body belief, the recipe for the liver support juice. And lots of bone broth, which I already drink consistently. Basically we get, we do nine days in the prep phase where we eliminate all the potential toxins in our foods, and in our lifestyle, and the inflammatory foods basically, and then we go into the purify phase which is 11 days long, and we are basically just eating protein, vegetables, fat, and lots of bone broth. We're eliminating all the way down to fruit.

Living in that 11 days of the purify phase, I have learned now … because again it's like the third or fourth time I've done it, I never feel better. It's the best I've ever felt in my adult life, no joke. I feel like my skin looks the best, my hair, my energy, I just feel so clear and crisp, and it's just awesome. So 11 days in the purify phase, this time around I dropped like six pounds in those 11 days which was quite significant for me. I had been holding on to some weight, I think from a stress reaction, if you will. Last year was just kind of an intense year personally for me, and I feel like I put on some pounds that I couldn't let go of. And my body finally just said, shh, and I let go which was fun and awesome.

That did cause a hiccup, that significant drop of weight in a short period of time did cause a bit of a hiccup in my menstrual cycle last cycle. My ovulation was about 10 days later than it normally is, and so my period came about 12 days later than it was due to. But that's okay, because that's a one off experience. I understand my body was going through big changes, and I am not a robot, and so I was, I rolled with that. That was okay. My period came right with, regularly, well, I should say like healthily and beautifully right with the full moon, so I stayed in sync with the lunar system, which I tend to always do. I always take that as a great sign, from a fertility and a health perspective, that my body is cycling with the moon as it should.

What other changes did I see? Just complete clarity in a way that I can't even describe. Just so present, so aware, so well-rested, so grounded. Like very emotionally grounded. My bowel movements during the purify phase were like a little slow, which is normal because we're drinking a lot of broth and not eating as much food to digest, but super healthy bowel movements.

Again, my skin incredible. Felt so good to just like no bloat, no gas, and just really like lean, I mean, I'm by no means on a low BMI or too skinny. I did that for too long too, where I underate and was way too skinny, but I'm at a really healthy weight for me, which is about 122, 125 pounds. I'm 5'3. I used to trend towards 115, 118, but as I've gotten a little older I think I've just creeped up a little bit which is fine. I roll with it. But so by no means am I too thin, which I would avoid, personally, because I don't think that's healthy at all. I want to stay right in the middle of that BMI range. And I think too, for women in their 40s, that may still consider having another child, which is me, it's good to have a couple extra pounds on as the estrogen is super healthy, and the estrogen's stored in the fat cells so to me I do that as well, it's just in my mindset. So these are the things that I did diet wise, and so now we're still living in this reawakened phase.

We finished the purify, and then we reintroduce fruit, and we can have regular caffeine again, and we kind of stay there for about three weeks. We're just coming to the end of the rewaken phase where we can start adding in foods. I added back in, we were just doing egg yolks. I added back in egg whites. I've also added back in coffee, as of today I had a cup, which you probably hear. I'm like woo. I still feel really awesome. I, what else? I'm still kind of doing everything where, like today I had eggs with spinach in the morning. I had my matcha, I'm sorry, I had my coffee with collagen peptides, and then I had, I had a little workout, and then I had a hard boiled egg with avocado, smoked salmon. I'm still avoiding my grains. Still avoiding nuts, and beans, and nightshades. Those things just don't agree with me, generally, if I have too much of them. But I'm eating a ton of food, like my calorie content is high. I'm eating lots of fat, I feel really good, tons of vegetables.

Then the mindset piece, which we need to work on and talk about. That piece is extremely important, and in the 30 Day Mind Body Reset, The Reboot and Rewire Program, every day my students get an email from me, and it's … You get a feelings and a food like homework assignment. It was all about reconnecting to ourselves and how do you feel every day? How do you talk to your body every day? How do you, what's your relationship with food? What's your relationship with exercise? What's your relationship with sleep? How do you prioritize yourself? How do you look at yourself in the mirror, and what is it, what's the first thing you say? Is it like, “Oh, you look rested,” or is it, “You look like shit,” or “You did that thing again you shouldn't have done, I can't believe.” Or some people don't even look at themselves in the mirror. They actually just do their best to not fully engage themselves, which is devastating to me, to be honest, because you are amazing and you should be the most important person in your life. And you should look at yourself with love, and adoration, and compassion, and kindness on a regular basis.

That mental piece is huge and so often overlooked. I don't know a single autoimmune book about there that dives as deep into the emotional piece as I do. If you have an autoimmune condition, and you've been following an autoimmune paleo diet, and you're still not seeing the changes you need to see, guess what? It's got to be mindset, and you need to shift that conversation you're having with yourself in the privacy of your own mind. I do things like this, I have … This is a mantra that I have just sitting on my desk, in front of me, for me to look at on a regular basis. I do work on myself regularly. I have a coach that I work with. I see a therapist once in a while. I have healthy, beautiful relationships with friendships, with my husband, with my mother. I have the support, and I access it, and I stay connected to myself to know what my needs are, and to ask for my needs to be met.

I definitely fall into patterns where I feel guilty if I'm not with my child all the time, or I'm not, doing x, or y, or one of my things is I gain worthiness by helping people. Obviously, this is what I do for a living, but I also can do it in my personal life, and so what, one thing I'm working on shifting is that my worthiness doesn't, I don't need to do anything to be worthy. I, just being me I am worthy. Just being my beautiful soul that I was given, that I don't have to work at or do anything, I am worthy of all that I desire. And the work though, through writing Body Belief, especially, and then through doing a program like this, where I'm coaching other people, it inspires me. And then to see the transformation is incredible, but it's also, it allows me to be a student of the teachings too, and it allows me to really stay in touch and start to unpack, like wow, that's a belief that I have or I was holding onto that weight, those extra five, six, seven pounds and it wasn't diet, it was all fear and shame.

I had a lot of fear and shame, based on some personal things that I went through last year, and I was afraid to let it go. I just couldn't fully let go, and doing the program this time around really helped me let go because I was ready. I was ready for that shift, and I had worked through a lot of the barriers, and the fear really, where it was like I am safe. I am safe to let this go, and don't worry, it wasn't anything too big. I wasn't ever in a very unsafe situation. It was just a learning transformation that I was going through in my marriage, and we're good, we are, we're good and we're solid and we're awesome.

We're an awesome team, but it was just a transformation that we had to go through and that I took physically, I stored on some weight from that. And so I learned about my … and I knew that it was all emotional, and I knew that eventually it would just one day come off, and for me it was during this reboot and rewire program and that was really because the emotional piece. Because I really took the time … I wrote those homework assignments month ago. I took the time though, I did the homework with my students every single day. All those 30 days I did the homework too. I did the mantras, I did the feeling work, I looked at my relationship with food. I prioritized sleep, I prioritized joy and love, and that's how I maintain my health.

That's how I do it, and it's not to say I don't have moments where I fall off, or I don't have moments where I judge myself, or I'm not 100% on the plan, that's okay because at, first and foremost, I have compassion for myself, and respect, and love. But as I shift the relationship with, as I learn more about how my body reacts to certain foods, and how my body reacts to certain emotions, and certain situations, I can then stay connected enough to have the compassion to be like, you know what, okay, whatever, you ate x. The world's not going to end. Have compassion for yourself and move on, instead of regret, remorse, beating myself up, abusing myself more because I fell off the diet. So it's, what I learned through all the students too doing this reboot and rewire program, the one thing they say to me is the most important piece of this diet, or reset, was the emotional piece, because you started to form this more compassionate understanding relationship with yourself. And from there that's when true health can thrive.

I can tell you what to eat, and how to meditate, and how much to sleep, but until you actually get to a space where you're kinder, and more loving, and more compassionate with yourself, is everything going to shift the way you want it to? There you have it, guys. That's what I do to keep myself healthy. And so now we'll move back into the reawaken phase, and I am very clear on the foods that work for me and that don't, but to me the biggest piece is just staying in touch with my body. How do I feel after certain foods? How do I react? How do I feel after certain relationship interactions? How do I feel after a good night's sleep, a not so good night's sleep? Am I beating myself up? Am I being kind? How do I feel when I look at myself in the mirror? What am I bringing? What are my intentions for my day? How am I showing up for myself? And those are the things that I'm constantly learning, and shifting, and adapting, and meeting myself with understanding and love and compassion, and I wish for all of you to do the same.

Know that I am you, and we are in this together, and no one is perfect at this, and I don't have any more authority than you do on your health. It's all about you living in your body, and really forming that friendship with yourself and your body that you deserve. So there you have it. I'm going to go.

Hi mommy.

Oh hello, do you want to come and say hi to my friends?

Mm-hmm (affirmative).

Yeah? A quick hello. Come here. Oh. A quick hello. This is James, so my baby there. Aw. You show everybody your magnifying glass? Wow, are you a detective? Oh my goodness gracious.

And I do a lot of it for this guy too, because he's so special to me. You're so special to mommy.

[inaudible 00:21:44] hand.

Wow, look at that big hand. Okay guys, I'm going to go. I'm going to go take him to his friend's house for play date. You want to go see Ryan?

No.

No. Okay. All right, say goodbye. By everyone. Blow them a kiss. Muah. We love you guys.

Mm-hmm (affirmative).
