Gimme A Beet!


Who doesn't love them some beets? Their sweet, earthy taste and deep red and orange colors not only make a great companion to goat cheese and walnuts, but they're also great for boosting your energy during exercise!

The Journal of Applied Physiology just published a study showing that ingesting beet juice not only reduces blood pressure, but it also makes your body require less oxygen during exercise. Drink some beet juice before a hard workout and have more energy!
