Aimee's Story
Acupuncturist, herbalist and author Aimee Raupp is a women’s health and fertility expert. Her mission is to educate and inspire women to improve their health, celebrate their beauty, prevent disease and increase their fertility so they can live full, self-directed lives and achieve on their own terms.
In her 20's, working as a research scientist in the field of neurobiology, Aimee struggled with ongoing healthcare issues. When Western medicine was unable to provide relief, she turned to Eastern medicine. From this early experience as a patient of acupuncture, she discovered how a mind-body-nutrition approach was key to finally overcoming her illnesses and maintaining good health. Ever since, Aimee has dedicated her life to the practice of Traditional Oriental Medicine.
Aimee’s first book, Chill Out & Get Healthy (Penguin), is a call-to-arms for women to reclaim their emotional and physical wellness before lack of wellness becomes serious, intractable disease. Aimee’s inspiration for the book came from her many female patients in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, from all walks of life, often with successful and dynamic careers, who faced all-too-common illnesses that result from high-stakes, fast-paced living.
Aimee’s second book, Yes, You Can Get Pregnant: The Diet That Will Improve Your Fertility Now & Into Your 40’s (released June 2012), builds on the themes of her first book, and draws from Aimee’s success helping hundreds of women who’ve struggled with infertility get pregnant and have healthy children. The book details fundamental nutritional precepts essential to fertility, provides a five-day sample menu and is a pre-release of Aimee’s forthcoming volume on fertility and health.
Aimee is currently in private practice in Manhattan, the Hamptons and Nyack, NY, and is developing her original, organic Aimee Raupp Beauty product line.
